Recap on GB success in the 2013 World Masters Championships and Winston Thomas’ re-election as Secretary
Congratulations to Winston Thomas on his re-election as Secretary World Masters Athletics, by a landslide vote at the WMA General Assembly on 23 October in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
The BMAF congratulate all members who competed in the XX WMA Track & Field Championships in Porto Alegre, Brazil, 16-27 October. It is the first World Track & Field Championships ever to be staged in South America. Over 4,000 competitors from 83 countries competed. The 134-strong British entry came home with a haul of 46 gold, 36 silver and 20 bronze medals and numerous season’s best performances. World Records are being re-examined before ratification.
