Can athletes please go to the WMA website and read the posting on this item. There are two events for over 50 years of age athletes in a Women’s 400m and a Men’s 800m. There are qualifying times required in 2014/15 for both events, for which, from searching of World Rankings several British ladies and one British man appear to have. However there may be more, as the times may have been fairly local and not picked up by the ranking guys. Be aware, even if your time was in the 45 to 49 category, but you will be over 50 by next August then you qualify.
If you have a qualifying time or think you can achieve such a time Indoors or Outdoors, before 30/03/15, and are interested in competing, then please come back to me.
I am looking to get some funding for this project, to assist athletes to attend and compete, and to that end, I have already booked two bedrooms in down town Beijing for the period suggested, to ensure we have reasonably priced accommodation available for any selected athletes.
