Ranked in the top eight leading World Masters athletes Sally-Anne Cayton (VAC), Virginia Mitchell and David Heath (SCVAC) made history last year when they were selected by World Masters Athletics to compete in the first ever Masters Exhibition W50 400 and M50 800m races held during the IAAF Championships in Beijing in August. Sally and David won their race and Virginia finished 2nd.
We are absolutely delighted to report that two members, Karen Brooks (MMAC) and Dave Wilcock (SCVAC), have now been selected to run in a W55/M60 Exhibition 800m at the IAAF Indoor in Portland, USA, on 19 March.
World M70 100/200m gold medallist and record holder, Glyn Sutton (WMAA), has now added the World 60m Indoor record clocking 18.8sec in Cardiff last weekend.
