BMAF members share in the 11 World and 23 European records set as at Day 4 of these enjoyable Championships

Joe Appiah set a European M45 record in the 60mH in 8.35sec. Susan Frisby lowered her own ER 9.89sec time from Lee Valley on 12 March to 9.86 in the first heat of the W55 60mH here and then ran a superb 9.80sec in the final to break Phil Raschker’s 2003 World record.  It is a European record also for Carole Filer in the W60 pentathlon where she notched up 4408pts.

There will be a welcome in the hill sides when Glyn Sutton returns home to the Principality after lowering the M70 60m World Record held for just two weeks by Kenton Brown USA (8.18) to 8.09.
