BMAF Nominations for 2016 Awards

The BMAF nominated Carole Filer and Tony Bowman for 2016 Best Female and Male Athlete Awards.
Carole won the W60 heptathlon, long and high jumps, 80mH, set a British record in the 300mH 53.79sec for a silver medal and ran the relay in Perth. At the European Indoor in Ancona she became European champion in both jumps, clearing 4.52m for a British record and winning the heptathlon in a CBP 4305pts although she had a European record 4568pts pending from our Indoor. She upped her Heptathlon score at the BMAF Multi Events to a staggering 5927pts and helped Sue Dassie, Lyn Ahmet and Caroline Powell to a British 4 x 100m relay gold in Perth.
Tony collected a pot of gold at both international Championships with three Indoor titles, World and European 60/80mH records, two gold, one silver and one bronze in Perth and a British record decathlon score of 6659pts.
