The BMAF 10 Mile Road Race Championships was incorporated into the Dorking 10. Set in the delightful village of Brockham with the North Downs as the back drop. Set in the delightful village of Brockham with the North Downs as the back drop. The Dorking 10 is a road race where the roads are not closed, but with a 9-00am start the Surrey country lanes are safe to race on when you have the support of the marshals from the promoting club Dorking and Mole Valley AC.

Athletic clubs are promoting fewer road races and it is always worth supporting a club race promoted for club runners. The course was undulating and challenging and the finish times were reflected by this and heat on the day.

When the race was over, our IT Team led by Peter Kennedy had the BMAF results and we waited for the open presentation was over due to the obvious conflict of interests. We were then in the position to present the medals in the comfort of the club room which also included the SCVAC Champs and the VETS AC Champs.
