According to World Masters Athletics the M35 Latvian, Sandris Linbergs, who sent his 800g javelin out to 62.43m in the Outdoor events held at the World Masters Indoor Championships in Torun last March, failed an anti-doping test and has received a 4-year suspension, effective from 4 March. The two Germans, Lewin and Novak move up and the Bronze medal now goes to Kinal of Poland.
Linbergs placed 2nd in the Discus (46.77m) behind the Pole Krzysztof Jackow (48.19) and also placed sixth in the Javelin. There were no British competitors in these three events.
