It is with much sadness that we record the passing of M45 Nick Jones, NMAC, who has succumbed to cancer. The former British International competed in five IAAF Half Marathons and on joining the NMAC he went on to run with the England team in the International Cross-Country in Swansea two years ago, finishing 3rd M40 and taking the team title.
He also won the BMAF 10,000m and 10 mile in 2018 and competed in the World Masters Athletics Championships in Malaga. His last BMAF Championships appearance was as recent as last April when he finished 7th overall and 2nd M40 in our 10km Road Championships in Blyth.
The BMAF and all of its members send their sincere condolences to his wife Caroline and to his children Jordan and Jasmine.
