British & irish Masters International Cross-Country
Whist the track season is slipping away, many of you are no doubt thinking of your winter competition, particularly the keenly contested British & Irish Masters International Cross-Country, this year scheduled for Dublin in November. England Athletics Masters Association Chairman, Harry Matthews, wrote to his Irish contact and says an announcement is imminent as to whether or not it will go ahead as planned.

Gary Negus SCVAC
It is with much sadness that we report the death of Gary aged 78. The Royal Marine Commando, who is a life member of Portsmouth AC, last competitive appearance was at our 2017 Track & Field Championships in Birmingham where he won three silver medals in the M70 shot, hammer and weight before succumbing to that terrible disease Asbestosis. We all offer our condolence to his family.
