The structure of the BMAF consists of the following

1. The Executive

Consisting of the following members:

  • Chairman
  • Vice Chairman, Policy and International Affairs
  • Secretary
  •  Treasurer
  • IT Manager
  • Chairman of EAMA
  • Track & Field Secretary
  • Road Secretary
  • Walks Secretary
  • Cross Country Secretary

The Executive meets 3-4 times per year or as required.
The Executive is supported by various Officers covering:

–      Records
–      International Entries.

2. The Area Clubs

There are 11 area clubs, most of whom represent masters athletics within a specific geographic area of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. These clubs make up the British Masters Athletics Federation and a copy of the Constitution can be found here

3. The Delegates Council

Consisting of one representative from each area club in addition to the Executive. The Delegates Council meets twice per year


Within the BMAF is EAMA (England Athletics Masters Association) who organise various events for the area clubs each year, currently:

  • An inter-Area Club indoor track and field meeting in the Winter
  • An inter-Area Club outdoor track and field meeting in the Summer
  • An inter-Area Club cross country race in the Autumn

and also an annual Home Countries International Cross Country event, in which teams from England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland compete.  A copy of the competition rules can be found here
