                                                                    For fourth placed VAC M35 Alwyn Lombaard won the 60m.

                                                                    Giles took the 3000m. races in 9:34.51 and 11:58.17. For
                                                                    South West Veterans Vince Taylor, M35, long jumped 5.10 to
                                                                    win, for Northern Ireland Masters Anthony Glover, M35, ran a
                                                                    winning 4:16.24 1500m, for Northern Veterans M50 Mark
                                                                    Johnson vaulted a winning 4.40 and Julien Gittings won with
                                                                    a triple jump of 11.02. And Mel James took the M70 400m. for
                                                                    Welsh Masters in 79.41.

                                                                    Alwyn Lombaard was the top point’s scorer with 26.

Eight area clubs competed in the match and for the first time
W70 events were included in the programme. Southern
Counties dominated both men’s and women’s matches with a
total of 547 points, with Eastern Veterans second on 485 and
Midland Masters third on 444.

In the men’s match Southern Counties won by a margin of 51                                                  Diana Norman

M50 Francisco Reis, dropping down to the 35-49 age group,
won the 2k. Walk by over two minutes, clocking 9:00.29 and
Chris Hobbs won the M50 race in 9:40.68. Southern Counties
also took the M60 and M70 4x200m. Relays.
