Jane Horder.                               Thomson and Eric Horwill all got on the podium as
                                           well as Noel Blatchford and Ann Walker. The relays
                                           are the grand finale and always a rich source of
                                           medals and here it was no exception.
                                           Red and yellow vested Spanish runners saturated the
                                           5km cross-country races run over two and a half
                                           rutted circuits of the racecourse on the final day. Only
                                           the women featured in the fiercely competitive
                                           individual placing, W45 Scottish Veteran Harrier Sue
                                           Ridley and the ever consistent W50 Jill Harrision got
                                           silver, W60 Ros Tabor and Pauline Rich bronze. Spain
                                           were well on their way to a unique clean sweep in the
                                           men’s and women’s team titles until Angela Copson
                                           (two more Gold’s) led Ros Tabor and Sue James to a
                                           resounding W60 team victory- well she would
                                           wouldn’t she!!
