Fiona’ Argent’s battle for success in the W60 300m Hurdles at the 2013 World Masters Championships in Porto Alegre Brazil
Nobody gets to win a World Championships medal without hard work, but for Fiona Argent the obstacles were particularly daunting. Having got through to the final of the W60 300m hurdles, not merely were the conditions atrocious on race day, but they had to run the race twice as the final flights of hurdles had not been set up on their first attempt. When the race was rerun she battled through for a brave silver. Fiona also came 5th in the 80m hurdles.
