It is with much regret that we announce the death on 6 January of one of our earliest female Officers, Hazel Rider (nee Needham). The Cambridge Harrier was in at the beginning of women’s involvement in veteran athletics. A founding member and longtime Chairwoman of the Women’s Veterans AC, Hazel also was Chair of the Organising Committee when we hosted the European Veterans Track & Field Championships in 1984 at Brighton and Crawley. We offer our sincere condolences to her family.
