Record entries there may have been in some categories for England’s National Senior Cross-Country Championships on Saturday 24 February, but it was the number of our members running for their UKA Club in the Senior races that caught the eye.
Claire Martin had a brilliant run over the 8km rolling course for 50th in 31.48sec, followed by Clare Elms 93rd, 34.33sec, 51-year old Tina Oldenshaw was a scoring member for her Club, Tonbridge AC, finishing 145th and the versatile Diana Norman 312th. Remarkable high placing in the 1,113 finishers.
BMAF M50 title holder, Ben Reynolds completed the gruelling 12km to finish 236th.
