A group of 13 (by my count) British Masters athletes took part in these championships on 8th and 9th July 2023, with some success.
Adelboden’s Tourist Office features trail running as an attraction. Lou Osborn and Andrew Douglas confirm the attraction:
- Lou – “Loved the event and great to make some new friends with other GB athletes. Can’t wait for the next one!“
- Andrew – ” . . .fantastic event in a beautifully scenic setting. The hosts really pulled out the stops to make it a well-run event and although it was a small band of GB athletes that came, we all had a great time and it was lovely meeting and sharing the experience with them!“
Lou was the first W50 in the 8.8 kilometre championships
Andrew was the winner of both the M35 8.8 Kilometre and 34.9 kilometre races. Here is a picture of Andrew and Lou together
