This no longer an innovation, the BMAF is doing it again.
International Team Managers Wanted
About this time last year BMAF advertised a new role of International Team Manager for competitions overseas.
In addition to the already publicised T&F managers for Torun and Gothenburg, BMAF are looking for team manager(s) for the following championships in 2024 –
- European Masters Off Road Championships in Machico, Madeira, Portugal, 09-12 May 2024
- European Masters Athletics Championships Non Stadia, Porto Santo, Portugal, 15-19 May 2024
Job Description
The format of submission can be of your choosing, e.g. Work CV, experienced based, and should include experience of:
- Athlete registration and accreditation process.
- Start/Finish line arrangements.
- Knowledge of how the organisers communicate with team managers.
- Understanding of how information is passed to athletes.
- Experience/evidence of dealing with the full age range of masters athletes.
- Dealing with the characteristics endurance events.
- Understanding of course hazards and emergency procedures.
- Post competition activities.
Activities
The roles are intended as full time every day and it should be noted that the role(s) will be active before and after the start and finish times each day (0800-1800). And, due to the nature of the events, the team manager will be expected to have the ability to move about as required.
General expenses will be covered as applicable. Applicants for similar previous team manager roles are eligible.
