The Venue

Rhug farm is owned by Lord Newborough and is located along the A5 about one mile west
of the town. The farm is on the left approaching from the Corwen direction. The course is on
the opposite side of the road. No dogs are allowed on the farmland due to the presence of
deer and other livestock.
Race 1 – 12.00, approximately 6k – all ladies and M65+
Race 2 – 13.00, approximately 8k – M35 to M60

The venue, the Rhug estate, Corwen, is huge organic farm (12,500 acres) owned by Lord Newborough and he kindly invited us to use his farmland for our BMAF Championships. It is a “real cross country course with a stream crossing”. There are Venison and Bison on the estate and they export their produce, all over the world and it is favoured by many Michelin Star restaurants worldwide.

In this video Lord Newborough speaks of Rhug (pronounced reeg) . The bison appear at about 14 minutes.

According to the estate website you can sleep in the car park overnight.
