Road Race Calendar Update
Dear Road Runner,
I am now in a position to update the BMAF Road Race Calendar for 2025.
All our Championships are organised by a third party but you can enter most via Open Track where there is further information.
The major event of the year is:
MALLORY PARK FESTIVAL OF RUNNING,
Church Rd,
Kirkby Mallory
LE9 7QE
The event on 3rd May at Mallory Park is organised by Active Training World (ATW).
This will be one very special day in sporting excellence and includes the inaugural England Athletics 10 mile Masters Championship (incorporating the British Masters 10 Mile championships). This is very much a demonstration event over a classic distance that seems to have been forgotten.
No England Vests at stake and no qualification standards, just a straight race supported by the Road Runners Club RRC.In addtion to this race the other events on the day involving masters athletes are:
British Masters Open Road Relay ChampionshipsMallory Park 50k/100k (incorporating the British Masters 50km/100km Road Championships)
The day will be rounded off by a barbeque and we hope live music weather dependant and all competitors can make use of the camping facilities if they wish.

A personal note from Walter Hill
On a personal note I have been your Road Race Secretary for the last 13 years and I have never missed promoting a full calendar of events.
I have tried my best to allocate them in different parts of the UK from the Isle of Man to Dumfries in Scotland, from the heart of London to Birmingham, Edinburgh and Cardiff. However, it is now time to step down and help my own Masters Club SCVAC.
Hence this will be my last posting and I just hope that someone who reads this e-mail will come forward and volunteer to replace me.Please get in contact about the volunteering role with pkennedy@bmaf.org.uk .
Best wishes,
Walter Hill.
