Changes to Weights

Changes to weights announced by WMA.  Effective from 1 January 2014 …

At the WMA General Assembly in Brazil the following changes were made:

  • W60-74 Javelin specification changes from 400g to 500g. (This applies to multi events etc.)
  • All Men’s Shot shall have the IAAF maximum diameter of 130mm. And all Women’s Shot shall have the IAAF maximum diameter of 110mm.
  • The .075k Discus shall have a maximum diameter of 182mm.
