Close to 3,300 athletes out of the 4,100 entries submitted their performances in time but we postponed issuing the final results to allow time for the registration issues to be resolved. We have raised more than £12,000 for MacMillan Cancer Support
The team results exclude the performances of anyone who was not UKA registered or did not comply with the rules for the course and the individual results are on the bmaf website showing explicitly by a star against the ranking of anyone thus ineligible for any award.
There are separate rankings for the runners and teams from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and the winners of the certificates notified by email. The special prizes for the best three age-graded performances will be posted at the same time. Each winner will receive a copy of the book “Chasing Gold” published by the British Olympic Association in 2005 to celebrate their centenary.
The special prise for the best design of the certificate was awarded to Penny Webster from the Isle of Man.
Please send any stories of what this event has meant to you, together with any photos you may have, to news@bmaf.org.uk or to the BMAF Facebook group.
Thank you very much for your support and I hope to see all of you at the real event in Birmingham next May.
