British Masters 10K Road Championships

We return to Grangemouth, Falkirk on April 16th for our 10K as I witnessed an outstanding promotion by Falkirk Victoria Harriers on a very fast course in 2022.

We were still blighted with the impact of Covid-19 last year and I just want to ensure all across the UK have an opportunity to return to this special race. If you plan to race please enter soon.

British Masters Open Road Relays – Postponed until the Autumn

It is with significant sadness, that we have to declare:-

The British Masters Road Relays will not be promoted in Sutton Park, Birmingham in May 2023.

However, we are determined to find an alternative venue for the Autumn 2023 which will provide enhanced infrastructure allowing for a better competitive experience.

BMAF Road Team

Taking place on May 20th, and open to all UKA-registered clubs to enter multiple teams of registered athletes. We expect to have 1,000 runners across all age groups enjoying the scenic 5K route round Sutton Park, Birmingham, over the same course as the England National Road Relays.

British Masters 1 Mile Road Championships

An event in its infancy after visiting Cardiff and London, now we have discovered an amazing point-to-point course primed for PBs or SBs, only a few miles from the heart of Edinburgh. The race will be on June 4th.

Check this video out courtesy of Sri Chinmoy AC, promoters of the Scottish 5K that uses the same venue.

We hope that many middle-distance and road running athletes will want to take up the challenge. The races for each age group will go off in waves, a recipe for some fast times. The initial limit on numbers will be 250 runners, but this limit may go up or down depending on the number running in the open races.

British Masters 30K Multi-terrain Championships

Call it multi-terrain, call it trail, it makes no difference to what is one of the best marshalled and safest challenges in the UK! In Gravesend this year on June 25th, it represents amazing value for money with the number of masters entering growing each year.

British Masters 10 Mile Road Championships

20 Aug British Masters 10 Mile Road Championships Prudhoe

We will be joining Tynedale Harriers and members of NEMAA in Tynedale Harriers’ promotion of the “Jelly Tea” 10 mile Road Race. Situated a few miles from Newcastle this unique race over a speedy route will attract many local runners who know a good race and it is time we joined them again.

British Masters Marathon Championships

Setting of on October 8th in Chester, integrated with the Chester Marathon and the England Athletics international marathon challenge.

British Masters Half Marathon Championships

These championships will take place in Gravesend on a date in October to be confirmed soon.

British Masters 5K Road Championships

On December 3rd, another chance to enjoy the great venue of Battersea Park with a flat 2-lap course sheltered from the wind. Even though it is late in the year, this was very popular last year and the limit of 250 entries could again be reached early.

You can also look forward to the hot drinks in the cafe afterwards.
