Three experienced managers have been selected
The lead team manager will be Kay Reynolds. Kay was the lead team manager in Italy last year and Torun this year. Having many year experience as a meeting manager in addition to being a track and field official, kay be well suited to deal with any issues arising.
Gray Kueberuwa was a team manager for the longer track events in Montesilvano in Pescara, Italy, last summer. Gray is still active as a track official.
Derek Warn was also a team manager in Italy and Torun. Derek continues to build on his experience in other areas and is still active as a club team manager.
Despite correspondence with the LOC, it is not known currently which events are in which stadium. Consequently it is the team managers do not know where they are likely to be based. The Google map below shows the approximate locations of the stadiums. The Ullevi stadium is walking distance from the vast majority of the hotels in the centre of Gothenburg. It is understood that the Slottskogsvallen stadium will be the main stadium.
Those 558 athletes who have entered will be contacted directly in the forthcoming weeks with further details when WMA and the LOC release them.
