Alan Carter’s medal winning performances at the 2013 World Masters Championships in Porto Alegre Brazil
Previous reports failed to mention Alan Carter winning gold in the M75 300m Hurdles to add to his European success in Zittau last July. This achievement got him front page cover in the local newspaper. He had just 3 hours to recover before the Final of the 200m where he managed to grab a Bronze, just beating on the line his friend and rival Tony Bowman. The semi-finals of the 200 had been eventful in that they took place in a downpour, and being the first race of the morning they were kept waiting for 15 mins, soaked through, due to a timing malfunction! Alan coaches and trains with Colin Field who achieved his first ever World Outdoor 100m Final, after years of trying.
