HHH hosted a throws festival including a throws pentathlon for masters athletes
On 27th September Herne Hill Harriers held their 2nd annual throws festival at Tooting Bec. This year numbers more than doubled to 60 competitors, of whom 19 were BMAF members. At VAC’s request they introduced the weight throw and thus setup a throws pentathlon as well as the individual throwing events. This is not a common option – only 4 venues in England hosted a throws pentathlon this year: Jarrow, Derby, Ewell and Tooting Bec as well as the BMAF championships in Birmingham
