We are sorry to learn of the passing of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics marathon silver medallist in the early hours of 3 August this weekend. Although Basil never competed as a Masters athlete, he was very much involved in organising and helping at our Cross-Country Championships. The BMAF and our many members who had the pleasure of meeting him offer their condolence to his wife Jill and his family.
