A missive from our chairman

Dear masters athlete

Entries will close in the next few weeks for all the track field championships and we don’t want you to miss on the opportunties we are offering, which are more than ever before:

• 28 Jan: BMAF Indoor Pentathlon & 3000m Championships, Sheffield
  
  The 3000m is now a firm part of this event which eases pressure on the timetable for the shorter track events at the main indoor championships and allows the middle distances runners to compete in 3000m as well as 800m & 1500m, instead of dropping one when they were all happening on the same weekend
  
  There are still places available in rthe open events 60mH, 400m, 800m, long jump, triple jump, shot put, high jump and 4 x 200m relays (mixed as well as Men’s Women’s). In response to athlete requests, we are going to include some 60m sprint races am as well as the 60mH races in the morning.
  
  Sheffied is a very expensive stadium, costing even more than Lee Valley, and we need a good turnout for the open events In order that we can continue to offer them on the programme.
  
  Closing date 18th January, 4 days away, ** don’t delay your entry.**
• 17-18 Feb: BMAF Indoor Track & Field Championships, Lee Valley London
  
  Closing date 7th February
• 02-03 Mar: BMAF Winter Throws Championships, Oxford
  
  Closing date: 21st February

Remember these championships are open to allcomers but ensure your BMAF area club membership is up-to-date to avoid losing your membership discount.
