Ian Barnes, of North East Masters AA and Darlington Harriers & AC, set a new M85 3000 metres record on May 19th.
Racing at the NECAA Grand Prix meeting at Monkton Stadium, Jarrow, Ian completed his 7.5 laps in 16:34.42.
This adds to Ian’s British M85 mile record from last autumn of 8:10.40, completed at the same track.
