Following the vote in approval at the 2023 AGM
A decision by more than 2/3rds of the eligible club members in attendance was taken at the AGM on 25th November 2023 to change the BMAF into a company by limited guarantee.
This is a significant development and puts the BMAF into a position where it will be able more effectively to manage the changes that are increasingly taking place within athletics in the UK.
The BMAF needs to become more professional in its approach and can no longer expect volunteers to carry out all of its affairs. In particular, in the next few months, we will be seeking those with experience in running a company at director level.
